Berenice was born in Paris in France on the 29th of May, 1979. She attended the Conservatoire de Paris for ten years. Her first appearance came in the film La discordance in 2007. Her appearance was in French television series, and later played a regular role in the year 2010 in Medical Emergency. Her most well-known character was in the role of the villainous Bond character Severine in the twenty third James Bond film Skyfall. She has also appeared in films like Happiness Never Comes Alone (1998) and 5 to 7 (1998). She has appeared in the TV series Pas de secrets entre nous, Femmes de loi, Le temps est a l'orage, Pere et maire, and R.I.S. Police scientifique. She was nominated for a National Film Society Award in 2012 for the Best Supporting actress in Skyfall. The year before, she was a part-time actress in Terrence malick's Zoey.
